Columbia’s own Tokyo Joe rocked Broadway at the Beach last week! Currently, they have produced 5 CD’s and perform 200 shows a year from Virginia to Georgia and everywhere in-between. They have opened for bands like Sister Hazel, Blessed Union of Souls, Marshall Tucker Band, Bachman Turner Overdrive and more. Their drummer, Jayson Moore got an endorsement from a drum company earlier this year (yikes – forgot which one), and hired me to come get some pictures of them playing at Celebrity Square.LOVED doing this! I even got to go up on the stage while they were playing ;-) Was so much fun. Thanks Jayson! Was fun and hope I got what you were looking for!
The Surfrider Foundation recently held their Makai Luau as a great fundraiser party. Proceeds this year went to the Garden City Shower Tower project, to provide showers for residents and visitors at the public beaches in Garden City Beach area. It was a smashing success…..almost.They wanted me to run Photobooth at the event, which I was very happy to do. However, not all things go as planned :-( When I tried to print my first Photobooth pictures, it became immediately clear that my awesome new Photobooth printer was not in the mood to cooperate. Nope. It would not print. Nothing. Zip – Zilch – Nada.On to plan B….. I just went around and took pictures of everyone. Definitely not as fun as Photobooth, but what’s a girl to do? Since then, my wonderful fiancee’ has fixed the printer, and we have used it at several weddings with no bad ‘incidents’ —- LOLPeggy —- Again, I’m so sorry this did not work as planned, but was happy to hear you raised the needed funds anyway!
Here is some exciting news! Fitness Edge opened up a new Mixed Martial Arts Center in Conway last month. I went out to get some pictures for their website, and wow is it ever nice! Among the many features it has a professional boxing ring, a combat sports competition cage, plyometric training equipment, and it’s HUGE. They are offering over 25 different classes a week, and have some awesome instructors! If you are interested in martial arts, for professional competition, self defense, or to just to get in shape….this is the place you need to go!
GS Scene is an organization that provides opportunities for young professionals from the Grand Strand area to get together and network. There are members from many different areas of business. They organize several fun events throughout the year, and it’s always a great get together. I recently photographed their 2nd year anniversary party at the Boathouse, where they served great hors d’oeuvres and we were treated to some fine music by the John Brennan Band. Here are a few pics from the event:
On March 6th, Hart to Heart Media celebrated their 10th year of business!! Thomas is sure to be in business another 10 years, as the videos he produces are incredible. If you have not seen the work that comes from Hart to Heart, be sure to check it out on his website: http://www.harttoheartmedia.com/Everyone had fun at the party held at SPRINGMAID PIER. TRU SOL provided the great music, and CAROLINA ENTERTAINMENT played during their breaks, BLOSSOMS provided flowers, CROISSANTS a yummy cake and we were able to try a first run on a new service we are offering this year…. PHOTO BOOTH. This should be a great addition, and offer couples a completely different view of their wedding! And guests have a few fun pictures to take home form the event. For our first run, I manned the photo booth, but soon it will run completely by itself … and we are nearly afraid of the pictures we get then :-).Here are a few images from the Hart to Heart party.
