Janet And Her Very Sweet Grand-Kids

Janet Adams makes beautiful AND delicious cakes here in Myrtle Beach.  I have seen several of her wedding cakes, and they are pure perfection!  She wanted to to a session with her two grandkids…. and who wouldn’t?  They are both absolutely adorable!  Not only are they adorable, but they are oozing with sweetness, much like the cakes she makes.  They are both very well mannered and polite children.  I really enjoyed getting to know her grand kids and doing this session for them.  Thanks so much Janet!

A Wedding in Pembroke

Andrea and Mark got married in Pembroke…. and the event was beautiful from start to finish.  I love color, and as you can see Andrea picked our bright summer colors.  The flowers were amazing, and they were everywhere in abundance!  They were both relaxed, and very ready for their first day together as man and wife.  I think that about 90% of Pembroke population attended their wedding, and one thing is for sure. They have love and support from sooooooo many people who care deeply about them!  I know these two will share a lifetime of happiness together :-)  Mark, Andrea…. thank you for letting me be part of such a special day!

Becky & D.R. - HAPPY 1st ANNIVERSARY!!!

Time flies by so darn fast!  It has already been a whole year since I was in Ocean Isle Beach photographing Becky & D.R.‘s wedding! These two kept us, and everyone else, laughing all night long.  On the way to Ocean Isle Beach where their ceremony was being held, we got stuck in a big traffic jam.  No problem…Becky was calm and we  just used the opportunity to take some pictures both inside and outside of the limo :-)  Their reception was held at Silver Coast Winery (beautiful) and when we arrived there, the fun REALLY started!  Becky & D.R. — Your wedding was GREAT! Congratulations on your first year.  I know you two will have a lifetime of happiness together :-)

Sarah & Phill

I love Sarah, Phill and their daughter Isabella. I felt a connection to them from the first time they set foot in my office. I can hardly wait to see Sarah in her beautiful dress, and photograph their wedding on November 6th at Grande Dunes Ocean Club! It’s gonna be a good one :-)

Chillaxing at Myrtle Beach

Family beach portraits are very popular for vacationing families here in Myrtle Beach. They represent a time during the year when the stress of jobs are left behind, the worries of studying for tests and fitting in at school are gone, and is often of a time of true family bonding. The phone has stopped ringing, email is on hold, and at last there is time to simply enjoy the company of each other. It’s great to be able to meet these families at a time when they are fully enjoying life – and capture a moment of that time for them! I can’t even imagine how busy life would be with 3 handsome boys, each involved in their own activities and doing their own thing!

Emma's Senior Portraits

I had soooo much fun working with Emma.  She is bright and sparkly, and ready for anything!  Emma is from Ohio and was in Myrtle Beach for a dance competition.  I know she must of rocked it out-a-da-park!  In addition to being beautiful and talented, she is an excellent student at #2 in her class.  Emma’s dad wants her to go to an Ivy League college, but mom wants her to stay a bit closer to home.  Where ever Emma goes, and whatever she pursues, she has the confidence and intelligence to do anything in the world she wants.

Beach Portrait Season

This was such a nice family!!! We had a really great beach session. I get to meet people from all over the country, here for many reasons. They were in Myrtle Beach for a medical convention and took some time out for some family pictures. Thanks Sherri & Adam !!

A VERY Windy Evening!

While Julie, David and their 2 boys were in Myrtle Beach last month for a baseball tournament, they took a little time to get some family pictures on the beach.  Originally from Connecticut, they are now living in Nashville but hope to return to their home state very soon.  Our time on the beach was SUPER windy.  Yup — hair a flying everywhere!  We fought it and managed to get some pictures though…. aren’t they a handsome family?

Wachesaw Plantation - Amy & Kyle

Wachesaw Plantation is a beautiful place to get married. Add to that, bright colorful flowers, great weather, Wally B as the DJ, and an amazing couple and you know it’s going to be a good day :-) Elizabeth from Grand Occasions made sure the day ran smooth and on time. The beautiful flowers were from Little Shop of Flowers, and the cake was from Incredible Edibles. Amy & Kyle were sooooo much fun! The best men gave a speech and sang the 3 best friends as featured in The Hangover. A story was told at the reception about how for the first 5 dates Amy and Kyle went on…. he didn’t kiss her! Amy was puzzled and wasn’t sure if Kyle liked her or not. But Kyle was just being a good southern gentleman, and waiting for the right time. Just look at them now! They make such a great couple, and are so in love ;-)

Beach Portraits

I’m really enjoying beach portraits this year. I have had the opportunity to meet so many different people form all over the country, and get a small glimpse into their lives. I love capturing a good moment in time….when people on vacation are relaxed, having fun, and really enjoying each other. This was from a great session last month. THANKS Amy & family!!!

Stacie & Chris

It’s so cool to be a part of two families uniting together.  These people have it going on, because not only do they have to figure out their own relationship, but relationships with children as well.  You have to be pretty together to figure out all that!  Stacie & Chris …. yup.  They got it :-)  Not only were their children there and happy about their marriage, but they were even a part of the sand blending ceremony!  Good luck to you all, and thanks so much for letting me be a part of this very special day!

Happy Birthday Hunter !

OMG!  I can’t believe that Hunter is already a whole year old….. it makes me sad, so I know how Erica & Kris must feel :-(  I love this little guy, and always look forward to the time I get to spend with this family.  Soon….. I will post Hunters progression.  From belly to 1 year old!  Meantime, here are a few pix from last month.

Lisa's Bridal Portraits

This past weekend, Lisa and Clark got married at the beautiful Dunes Beach & Golf Club. The rain held out, and it was truly the most perfect day! Now, I can finally show off her bridal portraits :-) Lisa is one of the most happy, smiley women I have met …. in addition to being gorgeous! Bridal portraits and wedding pictures alike, she made it easy to get some beautiful shots. Thanks Lisa. Can’t wait to post some of your wedding pictures!

It's A Small World

This is kinda cool…..I had the opportunity to work with Stephanie, Matthew, Saylor and Tag … a wonderful family here on vacation from Nebraska.  They use to live in Fayetteville, NC when Matthew served in our military, and come back every year to Myrtle Beach for a few weeks.  Well we got to talking, and it turns out they are very good friends with the owners of a restaurant in the town I grew up in.  Hamilton Montana is NOT a huge place – lol.   BJ’s has been there for no less than 30 years….and my sister went to school with the owners…and SHE lives in Fayetteville!!!  Ha Ha.  Small world. Thanks Stephanie & Matthew!  Really enjoyed the session and getting to talk to you!

Surfrider Foundation Makai Luau

The Surfrider Foundation recently held their Makai Luau as a great fundraiser party.  Proceeds this year went to the Garden City Shower Tower project, to provide showers for residents and visitors at the public beaches in Garden City Beach area.  It was a smashing success…..almost.They wanted me to run Photobooth at the event, which I was very happy to do.  However, not all things go as planned :-( When I tried to print my first Photobooth pictures, it became immediately clear that my awesome new Photobooth printer was not in the mood to cooperate.  Nope.  It would not print.  Nothing.  Zip – Zilch – Nada.On to plan B….. I just went around and took pictures of everyone.  Definitely not as fun as Photobooth, but what’s a girl to do?    Since then, my wonderful fiancee’ has fixed the printer, and we have used it at several weddings with no bad ‘incidents’  —- LOLPeggy —- Again, I’m so sorry this did not work as planned, but was happy to hear you raised the needed funds anyway!

Jenny's TOO HOT Boudoir Session - Part 2

We did find a few more images to show you that were not TOO hot for the blog — lol!  But this is it.  The rest are for John’s eyes only ;)  This was a great session…we had tons of fun…and I can’t wait to shoot my boudoir session next week!LOVE BOUDOIR :)Jenny….thanks for letting me post these pix! Wish everyone could see how incredible you look in the rest of them, but 110% understand :-)

Trash the Dress for Contest Winners Jenna & Matthew

Jenna & Matthew, who won our 2009 wedding photography contest, also got a Trash the Dress Session in their package. So off we went in search of some fun…and fun we had!  Jenna is so adventurous and was ready to do anything.  She even changed the color of her hair so she could get a whole new look!  We had a great session, and I loved getting these images for them….they are such a great couple :-)
